On these banknotes of First Issue is watermark - Kugelmuster (ball pattern).

Avers:
On left side, vertically, is text: "Wer Banknoten nachmacht oder verfälscht, oder nachgemachte oder verfälschte sich verschafft und in Verkehr bringt, wird mit Zuchthaus nicht unter zwei Jahren bestraft."
In English:
"Anyone who imitates or distorts banknotes, or imitates or falsifies and puts them on the market, shall be punished with prison not less than two years."
In the center, the text says that, from July 1, 1923, this banknote can be withdrawn from circulation as depreciated by exchange for other legal tender and, then, finally withdrawn.
Denominations in numerals are repeated 5 times, in words - centered.
Revers:
Rosette with pattern and denomination.
